Good Day Sunshine! What a fab group of musicians who can light up a room like no other I have heard. Having seen the Beatles concert at Dodger Stadium in 1964 and unable to hear a word with all of the screaming fans, I have to THANK YOU for bringing back the memories.

Susie - Thursday, September 8th, 2016 5:41 PM
I watched the Walnut Creek concert too, because I couldn't stop listening to you! The harmonies, the great line-up of songs that I still remember every word to, beyond what other bands usually perform, thrilled me!

Susie - Thursday, September 8th, 2016 4:42 PM
I just watched your concert at the Millbrae Library online. You guys are so adorable! I've seen you play a couple of times "live" too, and I'm always impressed by your talent and the extensive range of your repertoire.

Michael Lyon - Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 11:58 PM
Seeing the Sun Kings live tonight in the magical high Sierra setting of The Bear Valley Music Festival (in collaboration with the festival's full orchestra) was a truly extraordinary experience on so many levels! We came up from LA for the festival and would LOVE to be able to catch you again sometime down there as well if you're ever in the vicinity. In any event, we felt the spirit of the FAB FOUR loud & colorfully clear in every song you performed (as a songwriter myself with a big interest creating Beatle-like harmonies, your performance was truly an inspiration!) and the way you were able to present each song with the full arrangement as George Martin intended during the orchestral portion of the show was a huge bonus memory for which I'll be forever grateful!

Mel Switzer - Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 9:08 PM
What a great night for Beatles music in Sparks last weekend. All of the new songs from Rubber Soul and Revolver that were played were all spot on. The ukuleles songs were very entertaining and the crowd was really appreciative of the talent on stage. Just when you think the Sun Kings have peaked, "Something New" makes a concert a brand experience. Thanks for keeping us entertained.

Awesome band keeping the Beatles alive for all to enjoy. My wife and I saw the band at the Great American Music Hall on Friday, August 28, 2015, and this was a terrific show! Still thinking about it in Jan 2016… We are New Yorker´s and want more, so when you boys coming East! Strawberry Fields underground concert, or maybe the Beacon, you could fill a big venue and we would go to every show! Best, T & J

Ryan and I had a fabulous time seeing the Sun Kings in Vacaville at the Theatre DeVille. You guys sounded better than when we saw you at other venues. Thanks go to the Theatre Deville for having an incredible sound system. And you guys ARE all about the music -- you don't need bad wigs and costumes when you can perform the Beatles music so incredibly well. I salute you!

Diane J. - Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 8:26 AM
Thanks for playing in Alameda last night! Although I live in Sunnyvale I love that venue! Except the heat of course...:-(

Betty Olson-Jones - Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 12:40 AM
I JUST came home from the Eagles Hall concert in Alameda, and I have to say that was the BEST concert I've ever been to! That's saying a lot because I've been to MANY concerts, including the Beatles in Rome in 1964... I felt like I was reliving my youth and couldn't stop smiling, singing, and dancing the whole night! Thank you for an AMAZING show -- you are so incredibly talented!!

Mary Squires - Sunday, January 25th, 2015 4:38 AM

Advice from a first generation Beatle fan.
1.First generation Beatle fans.If you remember the Magic of a Beatle concert and would luv to relive it...

Tom Burns - Wednesday, June 25th, 2014 8:51 AM
Oh, oh, oh. You guys are GREAT! Thank you so much for the evening in Monterey. I´m 63 and taught myself
to read music, play guitar and write many many songs because of the Beatles. Anytime at All sent me over the
edge, as did Don't Let Me Down. Well crikies…all of the songs you did were superb. Superb is a word I
don´t often use.

I'll be in your audience again soon. Somewhere. Somehow. Thank you again for the countless hours you guys
have put into this project. Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Debbie Rue - Saturday, June 21st, 2014 1:48 AM
Sun Kings what a joy it was to have the pleasure of seeing them perform I believed they have worked hard to perfect their act. Their music and instruments are all dead on of the real fab four. What I find so refreshing to me is how accessible they are to the audience after there performances. I seen the Beatles live twice in my lifetime and have not been excited about any other band since they split up. That is until I heard of The Sun Kings
who know how and have the raw talent to do the Beatles right
To each artist thank you for keeping the spirit of John, Paul,George And Ringo alive.
Your all awlsome musicians
Brian hope you liked the art work was a bit of a rush job as the day before I had heard the band would be at the cherry Festival. Am workingon the rest of the blokes will get it to you sometime in Alameda. Bless you all see you soon. peace and love,
Debbie Rue

Pleasant SURPRISE!! Best Beatles cover band! Totally enjoyed it!!!

Don Fortin - Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 8:51 AM
I Saw SUN KINGS at DeVille in Vacaville on 6/7. The guys were spot on. The George singer looked, sounded, and posed just as Harrison would've! "Paul's" left handed Hohner was exquisite and he matched SIr Paul note for note. I thought I was on the opposite rooftop in London in 1968. Very best songs, to me, are"IF I FELL",and "HEY BULLDOG." Tight and enthusiastic, and dare I say, Charming!

Debbie Rue - Friday, May 30th, 2014 5:40 PM
As a longer than longest Beatle fan, I was treated by a friend to your show at the Grand in Tracy for my Birthday. You guys were so wonderful. I closed my eyes a few million times and it was 64 and I was at the Cow Palace again breathing the same air as my hero's. I don't quite know how to thank you for the relived memory but sincerly, Sun Kings now forever, and Rain well there (sic)
good too.

Ron - Sunday, May 25th, 2014 8:33 AM
Fantastic concert at the Golden State in Monterey! Best concert we have seen in a long time. Don't know how your voices held up with one song after another. Very high energy show.

My wife and I were at the show last night at The Rogue theater. It was fab-tastic! We were there with my wife's sister and brother-in-law - you played at their wedding reception a couple of years ago and we met you then. You were better than ever last night, and look forward to your return engagement in Grants Pass.

Relive 1964 by attending a Sun Kings concert soon. I saw them on Feb 8th in Antioch and they were GREAT. So many great songs that you rarely hear. Words of Love, I'll Follow the Sun, I'm a Loser, etc. If you want to hear The Beatles and enjoy 1964 all over again, go see the Sun Kings. You will not be disappointed.

I saw your 50th Anniversary show at the Colusa Theater on Friday and absolutely LOVED IT!

The Colusa Theater was also a FANTASTIC VENUE very reminiscent of the beautiful concert theaters of yesterday. The best concert I have seen since the Beatles themselves in 1967!

Irene - Sunday, February 9th, 2014 8:54 AM
Heard the band last night. Nice to hear the fab four music live again. Strange to sit through the music. Impressed with the bands energy and how the music was presented. Lots of fun and lots of memorie.

Just saw you guys for the 1st time at Rancho Nicasio. You are fantastic. For more than forty years I have seen the best musicians in the world, at their best, from the best seats, etc. Without exaggeration, none made me more happy than seeing your show. Thanks for your inspired dedication, energy, and talent. I look forward to seeing you again.

Dan Rankin - Friday, October 11th, 2013 5:07 PM
3rd time seeing you guys....Loved each and every one of your performances!!! Being a guitar player myself, I appreciate how much work you've done to capture the sounds of the Beatles. Well done!!!

John Dolan - Saturday, October 5th, 2013 3:17 PM
First off I am a professional musician and a self proclaimed Beatle "FREAK". I KNOW the music, have the complete work of "The Beatles", everything recorded by "The Beatles" in sheet music as well as the recordings. I have seen The Sun Kings twice now and I was shocked the first time and have been amazed both times! These guys are dead on, note for note. Harmony all correct. This is not a tribute band. This is four incredibly talented musicians, all Beatle FREAKS! channeling tour musical Heros. I bow down to you, and look forward to catching your act again and again.

Mark Byron - Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 8:34 AM
My wife and I watched your show in Lafayette yesterday. You guys put on a fantastic performance, smiles all around. Your comment at the end of the show about if The Beatles had hit the road with that song book in 1971 or '72 was spot on; that's exactly how you sounded.

I also wanted to tell you how cool it was to hear the whole Please Please Me album at the front end of the show. "Misery" may have been the best rocker of the afternoon. That was a real treat.

Thanks again for a great afternoon.

Debbie Loudon - Sunday, September 22nd, 2013 6:51 PM
Thanks once again for the great performance in Stockton. Made a trip out there and introduced you to some friends from high school. Must say it was another great time in the life of the Sun Kings. And yes you did rock their world also. xo

Teresa - Wednesday, September 11th, 2013 4:49 PM
I saw you August 31 in Vacaville and you were fantastic! We had a wonderful time listening to your great harmonies, and dancing to just about every song. We first saw you in Suisun in 2006 and you have gotten even better--thanks for rocking the downtown and please come back soon.

Marcia - Sunday, August 11th, 2013 1:06 AM
I just came home from seeing the show at harrah's, in lake tahoe...and wow..that was such a wonderful show. I have seen the fab four..and rain..and you guys were so much better...I can not wait till you all come back and play again here! You rocked the house. thank you for a great evening.

Dave - Wednesday, July 31st, 2013 9:43 PM
Saw you in Alameda July 28, 2013. Been following you guys for 5-6 years - you just keep getting better all the time. I KNOW The Beatles. You guys nailed every song, every part. Now with Jim singing the Paul vocals and THAT bass. Wow! The harmonies were great, the playing was great, Steve's drumming top notch, keeping the band glued together like Ringo did. Bruce even looking like pics of George at times - and right there with every guitar lick. Ruben was playing stuff that was amazing! I was hearing detail like never before.
Drew is always in top John form. Even better this go round. This was the
Best concert I've been to since seeing Paul in 2010!
Did I mention you guys ROCK!

Carol - Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013 7:12 PM
My husband and I drove from Folsom to Redwood City to hear you in Redwood City last Friday. One of my best friends Margaret has been talking about how good you are for several years! We loved your music and can't wait to see you again. We had a great time!!!

A Sun Kings fan over 12 years and the group has never sounded better. Jim Funk is fantastic. Hitting the high notes is his specialty. Doing the whole Please Please Me album is amazing. Beatles fans - Go see them ASAP and be prepared to be blown away.

Just saw you guys at The Firehouse in Pleasanton 3/30/13. You were HOT. You OWNED the music! And James... Your new Paul.... His second show with the band... He was a PERFECT fit.

Michael Jacobs - Monday, April 1st, 2013 4:11 PM
I saw your show at the Pleasanton Firehouse. I was so blown away by the song selection and the quality of the music, that I had to post here. Before the show I expected a greatest hits performance. To my delight, you opened with all songs from 1963 including the entire Please, Please, Me album, with the songs in the order that they were presented on the record. This idea was very original. To me, as a Beatles nut, your sound was almost exactly as their's was on the record. The venue was great as well, small with excellent acoustics. Perhaps the best part though, was watching my fifteen year old daughter rock out to your music. The only sad part for me was after two and one-half hours, when you finally left the stage. You really gave everything for your audience. I hope that you play Pleasanton again soon. Thank you for a tremendous show.

Amanda - Tuesday, March 26th, 2013 12:24 PM
I was able to surprise my Mom for her Birthday by taking her to your show at Spreckles on March 23rd. She has a great love for The Beatles music and got me into them at a very young age. She was never able to see them in concert and being born in 1982 I wasn't able to either. My Mom was thrilled and LOVED the show! What a great night and you guys were awesome!

Hans - Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 9:54 AM
I've had the great pleasure of seeing you guys perform all over the Bay Area these past 6 or 7 years. I've thoroughly enjoyed every one of your shows and I just wanted to say thank you. The Beatles and their music have had an enormous impact on my life. Thank you so much for all the smiles you've put on my face. See you soon!

Saw you guys for the fifth time in Tracy on November 2nd. I love the way that every time I see you, you do songs that I have never heard you do before. "All I've gotta do", "I'm so tired", "If I needed someone". Great stuff. Looking forward to seeing you all again!!

Saw the show in Millbrae. You guys are awesome. The energy of the early Beatles was all there. "John's" voice was amazingly close. I did miss hearing the later material that you also do so well!

Randy Sahae - Monday, September 3rd, 2012 12:50 PM
The Sun Kings absolutely ROCKED the Millbrae Art & Wine Festival. The sound mix was perfect (better than Candlestick in 1966).

Mike Warren - Sunday, September 2nd, 2012 3:03 PM
Saw you at the Rio Nido Roadhouse and as always hated to see the night end. I also saw you earlier in the season at Spreckels Theater in Rohnert Park. Both shows were absolutely fabulous. It's obvious you guys love what you do and love the Beatles music, your keeping some of the best music ever made fresh in the minds of us who lived through that era and exposing new generations to what truly great music sounds like. Looking forward to your next show. You guys totally rock!!! All you need is love...

The Redwood City show was fantastic! Had an awesome time!

So glad to see you back in Santa Rosa! My son Paul used to bartend at Rio Nido Roadhouse before moving to Phillie. He's visiting this month and was sorry his vacation was between your two shows! We saw you Sat. at Montgomery Village and had a great time! My husband laughed because I got sciatica and had to limp in but I wasn't missing it! You guys are the best. Brings back the days of playing my lps and my Lennon and McCartney posters on my wall. My dad hated "those long hairs". lol. Thanks for another great time!

It was another great performance. How you guys deliver consistently top-quality shows is an anomaly, in my experience, and another demonstration of the band's great talent as well as its tremendous respect for the Beatles.

You guys affect people in ways you can't imagine.
